Lateral Thinking Certificate-Advanced (LTC-A) – Lesson #05 –Introduction to Memes

There are the common memes spread via the Internet, often through social media, that are funny images paired with a concept or catchphrase. They’re called internet memes. But, these are just the top of the meme iceberg. There’s a lot more going on with the real power and behaviour of memes than just trivial internet jokes.

  1. This is a question generated from my observations.
What is the meme that will keep the world engaged with lateral thinking?

That will be a benefit of the highest order.

  2. The most useful idea I received was that; people don’t adopt memes, but instead, memes adopt people, and thus the meme technically has it’s own perspective.

  3. Meme’s are a great way to succinctly implant short bites of information which helps solidify the message due to the limits of our short term memory
