Measuring Value for ROI
Your investment in this training has cost both time and money.
When doing x10 thinking we are focused on creating real x10 value. Value that was not there before the x10 intervention but is now. Three ways to measure this x10 value are:
• DOLLARIZATION: The translation of the benefits of x10 thinking into the financial impact in dollars that these strategies may have is what we mean by dollarization. For example, multiplying a specific KPI by ten may be dollarized at $150,000 pa or $450,000 over the next 3 years. Or, a B2B product or an applied research service may decrease maintenance or security costs by 3%. This can be translated into dollars per annum over one, two or three years. Dollarization is a strategic financial skill that can be learned and practised.
• VALUATION: In this context, valuation is an extension of dollarization. After dollarizing, what has been the impact on the valuation of the asset? What is the added x10 value for house improvements or for a business’s future cash flows? In a new venture or start-up situation, what is the potential for success, growth, and, eventually, profits? The degree of difficulty in calculating a valuation can vary but the extra effort gives you an edge which is worth it.
• RETURN: What is the gain from an investment of time, energy or capital? The gain is called the return. There is a continual virtuous cycle between INVESTMENT > RETURN > INVESTMENT. The better the return from a previous investment the better will be the next round of investment. For example, if an investment of $1 million produces a return of $200,000 then (in a 50/50 split) $100,000 can be returned to investors as a dividend, and an extra $100,000 can be re-invested into the growth of the asset eg new plant, equipment, jobs.
This return may also apply to investments of time and energy. If one hour is invested in doing a GBB for a client, the gain from this time and effort can be dollarised. Then it may make sense to do further GBBs for other clients. What will be the return for your business if you do ten GBBs? ‘Doing a GBB’ is the focused effort you make to map out how the return might be up to ten times the investment … or ROI x10.
Lesson 29 DFQ: MEASURE/PROJECTION: Measuring the future is called a projection. Projections are educated guesses and notoriously wrong. Nonetheless, when individuals and CEOs consider an investment they make a deliberate attempt to look to the future return on their investment (ROI).

I just finished a conference e I was running in Hawaii, and I used these concepts throughout the event. In a world were I’m remote a lot of the time. Having the availability of a brainstorming partner than keep up with my ideas and has unlimited energy and can not be flustered, fatigued or annoyed. Is pretty astonishing.
This revolution will allow me to test out ideas way faster than before. I think I’ll be able to achieve much more with less team and by solving the blank page problem in design and thinking. This is where I think i can see a 10x opportunity. There is a real possibility of a significant dollarisation.
The ability to take School of Thinking tools and train AI to use them and help me brainstorm really is great.

The most valuable benefits of the AIXIO training will be a significant improvement in my thinking skills, decision making, and clarity of direction for my post retirement consulting.
I can dollarise this in terms of consultancy fees earned and the financial value of potential new client opportunities. My projection is not conservative it is ambitious but using AIXIO and X10 thinking I believe it is best way to go and I will go through further iterations of AIXIO as things progress. Would be good to seee further lessions of this type.
Following your x10 thinking, cvs2bvs and GBB I will be developing new and tailored AI prompts for ChatGPT and other AI systems that will improve all aspects of my life, from my work as a Realtor, to making decisions related to retirement, and in support of passion projects going into the future.
I can dollarise this training by measuring how it helps me economize and improve my retirement cash-flows. I can also dollarize it by designing, supporting and monetizing a Youtube Channel focused on the projects I will take on in retirement.
I have a pension and social security that take care of more than my basic needs. Therefore my projections are conservative because I am not looking to produce a living or become rich, although that is possible in view.
The course has been very helpful. It is about routinely putting aside time to think, to approach this thinking time with a certain discipline, eg 10X thinking, GBB and the like, and then supercharging this exercise with tools such as Chat GPT. It will require discipline and practise.
This course has laid the basic foundation I needed to actual start down the path to being recognized, in my locations at corporate and at some of the nonprofits I work with, as the resident expert in AI. I think the potential dollarisation is huge after being introduced to this course and what AI can deliver across a whole realm of themes. The trick is actually to continue this practice daily and habitually and to go forward and put the suggestions into practice and that is what I aim to do. Thanks for the opportunity : )

Dollarization Over The Next 36 Months.
Like any tool, the value arising from these learnings will depend in its effective application.
The sluggard will do nothing, and achieve nothing – whatever tool s/he is given.
For the well funded, well connected imaginative and diligent entrepreneur, the sky’s the limit
New models, well executed, might rival Alphabet and Meta, in ways we do not yet see.
Outside these extremes, the expectation is that AI will replace many millions of jobs.
In these circumstances, history shows us that the value generated by the efficiencies achieved flow to capital and senior management.
What I will have is the ability to make better decisuons to help navigate a volatile and more competitive landscape.
If that means I can compete more effectively for employment opportunities in a shrinking pool, the value must at least be potential professional earnings over the 36 month period. Say, some hundreds of thousands of $
If that means I can successfully identify, pursue, build and then sell some commercial endeavour using these tools, then dollarization could easily be much more, perhaps millions, or maybe hundreds of millions or more.
These projections are conservative.
On a global level, in the most optimistic scenario, the ability to make bettet decisions may be applied to the many threats which humans face on this planet.
If we could improve the management of, and reduce the threats from climate change, over population, water shortages, migration, divisive politics, pandemics and wars, the benefits and their dollarisation would be beyond calculation.
For this we would need to see widespread thinking beyond short-term self-interest by the powerful and wealthy on both a national and international scale.
On this, I am less optimistic.
The real benefit of this AIXIO training is by adapting my thinking style to facilitate ChatGPT and GBB, by applying it through work, either directly, or helping others apply it. Either scenario is quite likely, as there is a thirst of this knowledge.
It is reasonable to assume the potential effective dollarisation value of this course would be well beyond x10 on the invested cost and effort over the next 36 months.
If I apply AI/GBB analysis and x10 thinking to all areas of my life then ROI could be huge. e.g.
– x10 in ideas generally
– x10 in patient referrals
– x10 in investment returns on ASX
– x10 in healthy habits
– x10 in happiness
– x10 in property investment ideas
– x10 in AI/GBB proficiency
My dollarisation ROI on AIXIO investment of $100 and 10 hours could be close to x 1000 over the next 5 years if applied to the significant areas of my life.
Probably ambitious…
But I have fundamentally changed the way I now think so value creation has the potential to be on steroids.
