Congratulations on completing these past few months of Advanced Thought Leadership Training. You have completed The Pipeline!
![]()
At the beginning you said “I will enter” the pipeline. This decision was an exercise in making an act of will. It was an exercise in making a commitment and then keeping that commitment.
The time and effort you have invested in developing your willpower and your commitment to exploring and experimenting with the Pipeline and the Orange leadership tools will bring its own rewards.
How you use these ideas in your own life is, of course, now up to you. This is just a fresh opportunity for you to design a bvs in your life.
OPT-IN/OPT-OUT
As always, SOT training is offered on an opt-in/opt-out basis.
As you would expect, you get out of it what you put into it. Although the training is the same for everyone, it is interesting to see how different people take different things away from this training. What do you think that you will take away?
DFQ#21 Take Away Value:
If you were to tell a friend what you think is the most important thing you have taken away from this Advanced Thought Leadership Training, what would you say it was for you personally? What difference (if any) do you think it will make in your life?

If you make time for yourself other things become clearer
As small as this may seem, the hand written note had the biggest impact on my life. This lesson made me stop and realize the lack of communication between my son and myself.
PTO & The Pipeline concepts are very useful. Also the power of being personal, I connected with this especially because it reminded me about the time that my grandparents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary when they received greetings and best wishes from dignitaries only one was hand signed and it was from Joan Kirner the, then Premier of Victoria, hers was really the most memorable, above those of the Queen and Prime Minister because it was hand signed. It goes to show that the personal touch has real power.
new and practical techniques to use in my personal and professional life
I have found clear and very useful techniques which you can apply to any activity. I almost always could do many different things pretty well from the beginning but always had difficulties in improving my skills because I did not know how to think about it. Now, I have some universal formulas which will improve everything what I do in my life.
The need to make a rapid assessment of what needs to be done and prioritize tasks is such a great life skill. Advanced leadership training hones down the thinking system you need to do this and makes life easier.
I learned to peel the orange and it has been very useful extra reminder for this week on how to team work both as a leader and as a colleague.
The most important lesson for me was PRR. I did the original training a few years ago and i have noticed my thinking has slipped backwards. You must constant search for the BVS. Escape is the most important step.
Escape
Search
Capture
Analyse
Pick
Execute.
I’m changing the way I do things
The most important strategy I will take away from this course is the VALUE OF CONTINUOUS TRAINING. It never ends -PRR.
As Michael always says “The CVS is never equal to the BVS” – and the BVS can be Better by a factor of 10. As Jack Welch said ” Finding a Better Way every Day”.
As one of my Mentors (a very successful and awarded Australian Businesswomen) says frequently -“Why do we train our people? Why do we constantly re-inforce the Systems? BECAUSE THEY WORK. -And we constantly look for better ways and new opportunities because we live in a fast moving world”.
If you stop training and practicing then things will start to fray at the edges and fall apart within about 12 weeks. Just ask any Olympic Athlete who hasn’t trained for 12 weeks.
What difference will it make to me? More focus and discipline in training myself and others – Being better at setting goals and strategies to achieve the goals and actually DOING IT.
