  1. The fact that no one is born as a skilled thinker means that each one of us has the ability to continue to develop this skill throughout our life time to a greater or lesser extent, using our life experience as input into this development process. As with all disciplines the more effort and repetition we put into our metacognition development the better the outcome will be; in turn enabling each of us to be able to make more informed and discerning decisons based on a proactive three dimensional assessment of the holistic information to hand (think of a sphere and looking at this from many different angles to understand many differnt viewpoints) rather than making a reactive and unsound judgement and decision (Blackhat thinking) based on a single two dimentional viewpoint.

I can only begin to imagine the benefits (CVS2BVS) that could be gleaned for not only the development of mankind but also the planet we call home if metacognition was taught Globaly within the education curriculum.

  2. Here, we have an opportunity to deeply think about our own thinking. What an amazing opportunity! Let’s not waste it.

  3. its not an innate ability, its something you can, and do, learn how to do. you can learn to think. whats more you can learn to think better – ie become more skilled at it.
