— This 15-min session was edited from Dr Michael Hewitt-Gleeson’s televised address with Zondwa Mandela (grandson of Nelson) to the Arab and African Youth Platform in Aswan, Egypt on 17 March, 2019.

The DFQ #02 (Daily Feedback Question) – ‘Leave your thought’ below and answer this question: What idea have you taken from this lesson that you can actually try to use today?

Tomorrow’s Lesson #03 – The Intelligence Trap.

LEAVE YOUR THOUGHT: Those who complete all ten DFQs in this training will get a personalised Lateral Thinking Certificate from the School of Thinking. After you’ve watched and thought about the tutorial session reply with your own answer to the DFQ. In our training for each lesson we have a DFQ – Daily Feedback Question. Usually reply with your own thoughtful answer to the question in around 25 words or so. There’s no ‘right’ answer. It’s meant to be a personal comment. Just leave your thought. You can also read the comments of the others. All the answers will be shared around.

  1. CVS to BVS is so simple and just saying it now I realise some of the best decisions I have made in my life have come from thinking differently. Without knowing this software existed I tried to seek an alternative view. I wish I had this software years ago…

  2. Purposely pushing past the comfortable until mistakes are made is somewhat out of my comfort zone. It feels like I just got the “permission” to do so, as a purposeful experiment to push myself outside of my CVS box.

  3. To escape from your cvs, first off you have to determine and understand it; see what makes you stack inside the box of this cvs , then you can start building your bvs

  4. What I have learned is that a person should not standing in his place, even if he is not sure of what he intends to do.
To get from cvs to bvs even in the simplest things It will make you work on things more systematically.
In general, the thinking process will develop and you will be able to identify many paths and work on them both.

  5. Being willing to make mistakes. This makes a lot of deep insight in that you do not fear to inovate new ideas and through that process to free your mind power and I think if this becomes a habit you make not even make much mistakes. Actually the fear of making mistakes can lead you to freeze your thinking. This training session actually look simple but a second thought it’s deep and inspiring indeed that empower and enhance your ability to think and inovate. Mind Rules the World as such one need to enhance this great faculty. Thanks.

  6. I guess that the idea that you should consider other people’s point of view is useful for empathy and learning about topics from others.

  7. I think the key to this is to make this type of thinking making it a habit. Which means intentional practice until you stop ask yourself after every quick decision, did I really think about this or am defaulting to an initial reaction. Then of course, following up with x10 practice for each topics that warrants attention.
