From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that men and women are here for the sake of each other–above all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness depends, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy. Why is the DFQ method so effective? Discuss in a paragraph of around 25 words what you think is the main benefit of the DFQ training strategy?

  1. Already the DFQ is reinforcing routine and practice. the 5 minute DFQ is promoting further thinking throughout the day and allows me to look at problem solving in different ways.

  2. Practice makes perfect. Everything in life takes effort, but the DFQ is bite sized enough that the daily effort is minimal, and therefore not something to be feared. This “forced” daily routine will become a habit that will hopefully enable subconscious utilisation of lateral thinking.

  3. The DFQ system works because you have to think about the concept and the theme behind the lesson each day. I can be lazy and procrastinate, as I am sure many do. I find the DFQ is simple and 5-10 minutes a day is sufficient to help me think differently each day.

  4. DFQs extended my ability to being able to re-arrange my daily major actions in practical manner ….DFQs is a simple mental device for generating ideas .

  5. Daily practice creates routine and habits of doing things in a certain manner. When we are starting out we may not have a very structured way of dealing with problems. However, with practice and diligence you can learn to approach problems systematically and logically. Instead of life just happening to us and reacting to it we become “responsible”. We become a creator and participant in the events shaping our lives. We learn to respond intentionally instead of reacting habitually. We make small incremental BVS changes that lead us to a better future.

  6. The DFQ method helps keep the momentum of thinking , applying appropriate stress daily which leads to brain muscle development ! . Once the brain muscle is developed anyone pursing DFQ becomes a master of lateral thinking.

  7. Habits can create efficiency but they can also hinder the progress to a better way of living. Our way of thinking is a habit. DFQs are designed to create a habit, but a habit which challenges our existing habits.

  8. To me a DFQ is related to Time Spent Thinking. i.e I get a DFQ, I am forced to think, then I write my thoughts down. Each time I think, I get better at it. Much of the time we think we are thinking, but we are actually just following our already set neural patterns, or copying others, which is not thinking. A DFQ asks a question that has no right or wrong answer. I can’t look the answer up on Google. I have to actually think. Therefore I gain skill in thinking. That is the benefit.

  9. We all must contribute in our own small way, recognizing that we part of a long chain of events. Hopefully DFQ will help me move my thoughts outside the box.

  10. interesting question… I really don’t know the answer yet but I guess I am here to see and experience this world, be part of it and better it in someway if I can.
