How to reduce the error rate of your daily decision-making …

In our brains--our own necktop personal computers--as many as 30,000 decisions are taken every day …

• There are no right or wrong answers in any absolute sense, there are only real consequences.

• No-one can escape the coming consequences of their daily decisions.

• PATTERNS of decision-making have very BIG consequences. These consequences are the shadow of the future. There is no escape.

• Many are seriously ill-equipped with binary thinking.

• Binary thinking leads to a very high perecentage of errors.

• To reduce the error rate of binary thinking the much better option is trinary thinking.

• Trinary thinking works because: you can make better decisions and better patterns of decisions.

In your cognitive toolkit metacognition is the most effective method for making better decisions. The basic skills can be learned in just ten hours of training.

• Hope is not a strategy.

  1. So true ! escaping from the binary thinking helps the brain to view so many possibilities . And thinking about thinking …i.e. metacognition so important to improve the decision making process .
We cannot escape making decision but we can escape binary thinking and make better decisions !

  2. Our brains produce information patterns which are used by our minds; our minds will then react and respond to the situation. According to the way our minds respond or react, a decision pattern is produced .
I always need to enhance my capability of perception, together with my capability of conceptualization.
Clear perception and good coceptualisation lead to a good clear meaning of things ,and to produce better decision patterns.
This enhancement should be comprehensive including body, ego and soul …Practize Ten Thinking Emojis!!!

  3. A simple common sense is good, you may be right. But simple has many directions. Best to take a look in those directions to see what lies around the corner.

  4. Asking other people is a good way. But you can only ask the opinions of others for a small percentage of the decisions you make in a day. You must look at problems in different ways. For example, imagine what another person would do in the same situation.

  5. We are creatures of habit. Metacognition is a pathway to break patterns in thinking which will lead to new and creative behaviours.
