Strange is our situation here on Earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that men and women are here for the sake of each other–above all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness depends, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy. A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.
In my opinion the main benefit of the DFQ learning method is that it promotes metacognition to assist in developing and stregthening the neuro pathways that increase our ability to identify a one to many relationship between the problem/issue faced and the best available solution at that given point in time (BVS). This in turn leads to more informed and improved risk based decision making.
a question about a question – i like it. its a good habit to reflect on your behaviour and approach to things, not always jumping in and acting to form, these 15 mins help me reconsider me and maybe do a bit of re-engineering 🙂
I am trying to change my pattern/habit of thinking. Therefore I need to:
1. think DAILY if I am going to change this pattern
2. do something specific and provide FEEDBACK
3, answer a QUESTION because thinking often starts with a question.
I see the main benefit as consciously thinking about thinking habits each day makes one form a habit to think with purpose and reason, and to analyse why or how this is beneficial, or how it could be beneficial. Making awareness of thought a formed habit can only lead to more interesting and more considered thought patterns, right?
