LESSON ONE - WOMBAT In these next ten short video lessons you’re going to learn about W.O.M.B.A.T. WOMBATS! The Law of WOMBAT. And, the Law of WOMBAT is how to replicate clever ideas and satisfied customers ... on purpose!
LESSON TWO - WOMBAT Innovation WOMBAT Innovation is the kind of innovation that creates very clever ideas that people talk about!Â Â The ideas are so clever … they go viral.Â They go from one wombat to another wombat and are replicated from that wombat to another wombat. W.O.M.B.A.T stands for Word Of Mouth Buy And Tell.Â Word Of Mouth Buy And Tell. We’ll be looking at the power of replication in WOMBAT Innovation and WOMBAT Selling.
LESSON THREE - WOMBAT selling “It has been the sacred belief of the selling profession, ever since the subject was written about (I guess that was early in the 1920s in America) that the primary goal of the salesperson is to close the sale. The Law of NewSell says: Don’t close the sale!” This was the Heresy of NewSell which was the topic of my PhD, the first ever in Lateral Thinking. I published this in New York and Australia in the 80s. Dr George Gallup, the inventor of market research and the Gallup Poll at Princeton said that this was, “the first new strategy for selling in 50 years”. I challenged the American Theory of Selling which was: “The Salesperson Closes the Sale”. I put forward a new theory that said: “The Customer Closes the Sale”. This is the Australian Theory of Selling.
LESSON FOUR - WOMBAT Theory WOMBAT Theory starts with three entities, the ANT, the TOR and the ATE. The ANT. the TOR and the ATE.
LESSON FIVE - The Three Entities Wombat Theory has to do with the awesome power of replication. So, as you’d expect, there is a lot of repetition. Let’s repeat the basics: WOMBAT Theory starts with three entities. 1, 2, 3. The ANT, the TOR, and the ATE.
LESSON SIX - The Replicator! Here’s some more on WOMBAT Theory. The ANT is the REPICL-ANT. That’s the first wombat. The TOR is the REPLICA-TOR. And that’s what replicates the replicant. And, the ATE is the REPLIC-ATE. The replicATE is a kind of copy of the replicANT. And this copy is created by the replicaTOR.
LESSON SEVEN - Copying Ideas, particularly clever ideas, can get copied from brain to brain. This clever idea is the replicaTOR. A good replicaTOR has good copy power. A good replicaTOR is good at copying from brain to brain. It goes viral. It might just be a juicy piece of gossip, or a cute cat video or a good replicaTOR can be a very clever idea that customers can’t wait to pass-on to their friends.
LESSON EIGHT - The Law of WOMBAT So we have the Law of WOMBAT. The Law of WOMBAT is: “The replicATE was copied by the replicaTOR from the replicANT.” “The replicATE was copied by the replicaTOR from the replicANT.” Or the corollary is, The replicATE was copied from the replicANT by the replicaTOR. That’s the Law of WOMBAT.
