Daniel Dennett makes the point that because you have the privilege of living after Newton, Darwin, Einstein, Planck, Watson, Crick and their colleagues that you could give Aristotle a tutorial and you could thrill him to the core of his being.

So, have a think and if you could go back in time and give the great Aristotle a tutorial from your current perspective of 2013, what is the one thing that you would reveal to old Ari that would be a real knockout for him?

  1. I think to blow Aristotle’s sandals right off. Quantum Physics( Zero Point Field), would connect to the core of his BEING.

  2. One solution of thinking boiled down over 2000 years ago is not the solution for 2013. Everything is static and changes with time and unforeseen occurrences.

  3. MY pitch would probably point to the fact that it is (the exact) science and technology that are the true carriers of human progress.

  4. That he could now log on and easily connect to some of the best brains in the whole world by using this site – I wonder how many he would find in Athens now and whether he would prefer to be in another part of the world?
